PRESS RELEASE: America's Next Popp Model Announce Rob Gronkowski as 2022 Ring of Honor Inductee

Pig’s Eye, Minn. (October 28, 2022) –  America's Next Popp Model will induct former Tight End Rob Gronkowski into the club’s Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony of the game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

With a larger-than-life personality, both on and off the field, Gronkowski is one of American football's most popular players. He is regarded as one of his era's best players, by many sports analysts, writers, and peers and the greatest Tight End to ever play the game, given his numerous accomplishments and accolades.

"Gronk's a force of nature that played with a passion, energy, and drive that few players are able to ever achieve, let alone for as long as he did." said America's Next Popp Model Founder/Owner/President/Head Coach Chris P****** A******. "We drafted Rob with the final pick of last year's draft and instantly learned to never underrate him when he racked up 29 points on the bench in Week 1. He became our go-to Tight End every week after that and put up amazing performances that earned him a spot in the America's Next Popp Model Ring of Honor."

Rob Gronkowski played in the National Football League representing the New England Patriots for nine seasons (2010-2018) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two seasons (2020-2021). Gronkowski has won the Super Bowl four-times (XLIX, LI, LIII, LV). Rob also has a five-time Pro Bowl selection, and a four-time First Team All-Pro selection to his name. He was named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Gronkowski set several NFL records; He led the league in receiving touchdowns (17 in 2011) making him the first player of his position to achieve this feat. He is the only Tight End in NFL history to reach 1,000 or more yards in the playoffs, and also having the most career postseason receiving yards by a Tight End (1,389). In the history of the Super Bowl, he has the most career postseason receiving touchdowns (15) for his position, as well as the most combined receptions (23) and receiving yards (297) by a Tight End. He is ranked first among Tight Ends in average receiving yards per game (68.3), average yards per target (9.9), and average touchdowns per game (0.69).

The franchise is honored to induct Rob Gronkowski as the first member of The America's Next Popp Model Ring of Honor.

  • Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile - 3/5 Footballs ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ
"I don't know what you want me to say about this because it's a CGI, auto-tuned musical for kids under 10 years old. It's heart is in the right place though. The wig that Spanish guy wears in this is scarier then the one from No Country for Old Men."
  • Black Adam -  4/5 Footballs ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ
"Great superhero movie packed with tons of action. The Rock is a superstar who was born to play Black Adam. It's clear he pours his heart & soul into this. A sequel with Black Adam vs. Superman would be so fucking sick."
  • Halloween Ends - 1/5 Footballs ๐Ÿˆ
"One of the worst in the series. No wonder John Carpenter talks shit about what's happened to his creation. I've been a fan since 1978 and expected more to an end of a legend. Micheal Myers is barely in this one and then he just [SPOILERS REDACTED]"

Petition to ban Pat from the league 2022 - Post #9

Post by Chris (America's Next Popp Model)

"The only reason a warrior is alive is to fight, and the only reason a warrior fights is to win." -Marshawn Lynch

It’s clear to even a casual reader of this message board that I have taken a different approach to the 2022 Fantasy Football season. With new sponsorship deals and a considerable payroll, I have a new responsibility to present a more wholesome image that appeals to as wide a fan base as possible. As much as I’d like to do what ever I want, I can no longer metaphorically act like Antonio Brown in a hotel swimming pool.

However, on the weekend that I face my eternal enemy, I feel a need to speak a few unfiltered truths. It's hardly worth repeating but Pat remains a ruthless tyrant posing as a "nice guy". Although morally against it, I've come to terms with this league allowing a cheater to continue playing but I will not be complacent or silent about the evils of Pat.

The most egregious scheme I'm aware of Pat ever committing was just made public yesterday. Pat has been conducting a multi-year campaign to drive a wedge between Tom Brady and Gisele Bรผndchen because Pat feels divorce will help his QB focus more on football. The efforts began when Pat used various forms of identity theft and gang stalking tactics to poison the mind of the recently retired Mr. Brady. Pat sowed the seeds to both Mr. Brady's return to football and Ms. Bรผndchen's growing resentment of her husband transforming into a "Florida Man". To ensure the split would happen this season, Pat blackmailed Mr. Brady's plastic surgeon into intentionally botching a facelift just before the start of training camp. We're dealing with a sick person who is willing to disfigure a man and destroy a 13-year marriage just to get a potential edge.

You may ask why Pat is only sitting at 2-2 if he has been working this hard to influence the results. The simple answer is that I have been a better protector of the league this season. I hired an assistant coach this summer so that I could devout additional focus to battling against Pat's online meddling. My assistant coach has yet to live up to our franchise's expectations but I have been able to successfully curb the majority of Pat's interference. Unchecked, Pat would be 4-0, no doubt about it.

I revel in the opportunity to beat The Great Scoundrel and send him spirally down to the bottom of our division.

Petition to ban Pat from the league 2022 - Post #8

Post by Mike Zimmer (America's Next Popp Model)

Apologies for the delayed post. I was so excited watching that San Fransisco Defense last night that I got a little too tipsy to put together my thoughts from the weekend. But can you blame me? Pick Six, Fumble, 7 Sacks for 54 yards lost, and only 3 field goals against; This is why we love the game!

I'm really hoping that this defensive masterclass opens The Head Coach's eyes to the reality that defense is what really wins you games. I know I've made this point before but flashy offensive players only get you so far. The Head Coach said he was so busy trying to lineup a trade for Geno Smith that he wouldn't have time to focus on our defensive coverage. I was forced to threaten to go on strike if The Head Coach didn't pick up the 49ers Defense. Hopefully, this good performance means I won't need to rely on ultimatums in the future.

But I don't want any of that to take away from the fact that this was a great fucking weekend for our squad. The big W brings us back to being serious contenders in the playoff hunt. Even though we've had a few lucky breaks with divisional rivals losing games, it's really amazing how far this team has bounced back after shitting the bed in the opening two weekends. Really proud of the team for rising to the challenge and avoiding becoming the league's punching bag. Now we're in the chase with the rest of the big dogs!

Huge match up this weekend. If we can keep this good momentum going, we've got a chance to pull away from the pack. We'll be ready to give 'em hell!

Gin and Chronic Message Board - Post #9

Post by CoachZIM (America's Next Popp Model) With any luck, this season will be considered the worst one in the history of this league. ...
